LAM Development is the proud and humble recipient of Habitat ReStore's Donor of the Year Award at Habitat for Humanity's 2007 Celebration of Giving. In presenting the 2007 award to LAM Development, Habitat ReStore's representative had the following kind words to bestow on us:
LAM Development is a builder of custom homes in Kansas City’s premier neighborhoods. Often, LAM builds on lots with existing houses that require removal. LAM has made Habitat ReStore’s Deconstruction Services an integral part of their general course of business by consistently hiring us to hand dismantle the old structures for salvage. To date Deconstruction Services has removed 12 whole houses for LAM, creating jobs, saving tons of materials from the landfill and generating over $50,000 worth of sales for ReStore. Thank you for your commitment and support.

LAM Development is also the proud recipient of the Silver Award for the Kansas Custom Home of the Year in the $500,000 to $750,000 category for the first custom home it built at 8509 Belinder Road in Old Leawood for its clients Robert and Amy Rimel. This wonderful new custom home was designed by Webster Architects and mixes a perfect blend of Old Leawood exterior charm with all the interior amenities of a new custom home. Features of this 3,500-sq. ft., 1½-story, 4-bedroom home include an impressive floor plan with a large vaulted entry, first floor ten-foot ceilings, a modern kitchen with Viking, three-car tandem garage, large master suite, and an office and three bedrooms upstairs with a playroom off young Jack Rimel’s bedroom. The custom trim package selected by the Rimels is a must-see. LAM has affectionately nicknamed this house plan the “Rimel” and has duplicated it twice, including an ongoing new construction project for sale on an impressive ½-acre Old Leawood lot at 8420 Lee.
