LAM Development is a creative real estate development and construction company currently specializing in rebuilding new custom homes in established neighborhoods in the KC Metro area. While LAM builds both speculative and custom homes, our preference is building custom homes. We know most buyers prefer to tailor a home to their exact liking. LAM Development is a partnership between Rick Trumbull and Gary Justis.
Rick has been in the construction industry for over 14 years and has built all types of residential homes ranging in price from the $100,000s to over $8 million. Rick’s experience includes working with the largest home builder in the U.S. There he was solely responsible for pricing, development of product and home sales managing the entire building process from start to end. Rick has constructed homes throughout the KC Metro area and spent over 5 years building ultra high-end homes in Naples, Florida. Rick has managed building staff; dealt with government officials, planning commissions, developers and bankers; overseen administrative people; worked with architects; coordinated with designers; and been responsible for profits and development of a construction division for national builders on a local level. Also of high importance, Rick has worked with many discriminating buyers and achieved a high level of homeowner satisfaction.
Gary has been an attorney specializing in environmental litigation in the Kansas City area for over 17 years. He has negotiated multi-million dollar settlements with government officials and Fortune 500 companies on a variety of complicated legal matters. Gary is also licensed as a Class A building contractor in Johnson County, Kansas with the capability of building both residential and commercial projects throughout the area. Since moving to Kansas City in 1991, Gary has also built three of his own homes in different parts of the KC Metro Area. With his legal and business experience, Gary brings a unique blend to the table when negotiating with city officials and homes associations for clients.
LAM Development has chosen Christina Ricci as our exclusive real estate partner. Christina is licensed with Prudential Kansas City Realty at their Hallbrook location in Leawood, Kansas. She is very knowledgeable of the Old Leawood, Mission Hills and Prairie Village neighborhoods where LAM Development is currently focusing on rebuilding homes. Christina is also actively involved in many building and design aspects of LAM homes and is happy to assist homebuyers if so desired.
